How to put these uncertain times into a new perspective

Maybe you are in a confused or overwhelmed state right now, maybe you face some challenges that you never faced before, maybe you worrying about the future and don’t know what and who to believe. Keep on reading. Maybe we can put everything back into perspective.

Let’s start like this: think about life as a journey cross-country. And there are two possibilities to do that journey. The first one is, that you are so excited to arrive at the other side that you start right away, you just feel like not wasting any time. You make only a few quick stops, just to eat in a rush, get gas, and sleep short hours. You arrive in a ridiculously short time, feeling rushed and tired. You look back at the travel and are not remembering anything.

The second option to do this journey is the following. The starting point is still the same. You are excited to start your journey cross-country. But now you sit down to make plans to meet friends on the way, to see places you didn’t see before and to find the roads with the best views. You start your journey getting enough sleep, meeting the people that are valuable for you, laughing when you take the wrong way, and enjoying the sunsets and the beauty of your country. You do still arrive, where you wanted to, fulfilled and well-rested. Looking back on some moments you’ll never forget.

What kind of traveler are you right now? Number one or two? What kind of traveler have you been in the past? What kind of traveler do you want to be?

Consider this: What if it’s not about arriving somewhere!? What if it's about the journey (of life) itself, about the experiences we make on our way, what if the richness of life resides in the little moment of full presence, of openness and willingness to embrace the moment and noticing that there is a free choice always. What if it’s about looking back on our journey one day and feel full and wise and ready for the next stage?

I want to point out one thing. Maybe you noticed, that the first traveler is dependent on its emotions. In this example case, we speak about excitement, but it could be any emotion like frustration or anxiety or… (You can fill the space). The second one is making his decisions based on its values and goals, in this case, they might be health, joy and connection. Probably he is experiencing the same emotions as the first one, but his journey is completely different. Can you see that?

Every action we do is part of our cross country experience called life. What you are doing right now is and will always be part of it. And the good thing is that we have the choice if we want to act out of emotions or rather value-oriented, if we want to live in autopilot most of the time, or if we start being present and aware of the moment.

Do you wonder how to do that? It’s my expertise to show you exactly that – schedule your free call right now.

And of course, there are times during your journey when it’s stormy and rainy outside and not everything’s pleasant – but this is part of the second part of the story, I’ll show you the next time.

Until then enjoy the ride.
